Astrology is:

Since ancient times human beings have been observing the movement of the stars and tracking the events that coincide with them. This is astrology.

A chart is a snapshot of the location of the planets, asteroids, and other planetary bodies at any given moment. Based on their location and the aspects they’re making to one another, an astrologer can decode the meaning and energies of the moment.

As above, so below - when we are born we become physical representations of that energy. Even if we are born on the same day, we each possess a unique celestial footprint. Learning our innate patterning and how certain transits can impact us can help us better prepare for life’s inevitable ups and downs.

Astrology is not fortune telling.

Astrology is based around planetary cycles, timing, and patterns. Astrologers understand the timing of each planet’s movements and the symbolism of the houses and signs they are occupying in a chart. Astrologers also understand the unique relationships these placements have with one another.

Based on that we can make “predictions” on how events may unfold or how a person will respond. We do all have free will but astrology shows us the baseline we habitually operate from as individuals… most of us tend to repeat the same habits over and over (and if we don’t there’s probably something in our chart that reflects our willingness to be free radicals.) Understanding that, we can usually determine how someone will respond.

So, it may feel like an astrologer has insight into the future, but in reality the astrologer just has a very keen understanding of planetary patterns and human behavior.

The sun sign is one small detail of an individual’s astrological chart.

There are nine other planetary placements, twelve houses, twelve astrological signs, points in the sky like the Ascendant, and countless asteroids that combine to create a delicate and individual experience for the chart holder.

If you do not resonate with your sun sign it is probably because you have much stronger energy in another aspect of your chart. The best way to fully grasp the fullness of your astrology is in personalized reading with an astrologer.
